Optical Illusions

Review: 

When looking at these photographs I would want someone to feel that they are looking at a picture with some illusion in it not just a regular photo.I faced some obstacles while doing the fish blowing out the fire, because the fire would not really cooperate with what I wanted it to do. Finally I realized that I had to hold the paper at an angel so that it wouldn't burn as fast. Also with the magazine one I couldn't find a magazine that had the same skin tone as her which would have made the illusion better. I am most proud of the fish blowing out the fire because I thought I wasn't going to be able to pull it off but it actually worked out the way I wanted it to.

Gallery Walk Critique

    My favorite persons photographs were paiges I loved her rule of thirds picture the best with the two girls making faces and posing for the camera. I felt that the the picture was telling a story and it appeals to your emotions not just what meets the eye and thats what i loved about it. I felt that the story it was telling made the picture very successful and made people laugh.

Framing

Going into this assignment I already knew where I wanted to do it so I had already created a vision in my head of what I wanted to go be going on in the picture. I felt that the shadowing on the arch of the cliff made it more successful because it didn't take away from what I was actually trying to capture.

Rule Of Thirds

Going into this assignment I didn't quite understand what rule of thirds meant but then later on I found out that the subjects you are focusing on have to be touching the guidelines. I knew that I wanted to have a picture of a sunset but I felt like the shadowing on my friends body made the picture more successful.
